My Go To Summer Style

July in the middle of Kansas = scorching temps. Which is exactly why during the summertime I always gravitate towards a pair of denim shorts + a simple tank. I looovvee a good sun dress + twirling around in a cute mini skirt ALWAYS puts a smile on my face, but when it comes to every day wear, you'll see me livin' my best life in a denim shorts / tank combo for sure!

My favorite style of denim shorts to wear are the looser boyfriend fit. I find them to be the most flattering AND most comfortable. A higher rise is always a major plus to me as well, whether the style is boyfriend fit or not. I have a favorite pair of jean shorts that have been in my closet for years now, and that's the pair I'm wearing in the pics above. Time to talk tanks! I'm sure you can tell from my blog pics that I'm a fan of fitted tanks. However, I'm also a big fan of the pizza hut buffet.... + you already know I'll be wearing a relaxed / loose fit tank that day :) hehe.

A simple tank + denim shorts is such an amazing base to build on. This canvas allows you to let your personality shine, whether that's by adding a hair scarf and jewelry to show your girly side or adding a ball cap and sneaks to keep it caszh.
